Description

I had very good monitors in the past (also Yamaha, other Alesis, etc) and though I had a good listening experience, but I was wrong.

You should get an instant answer on whether your application has been successful, though in some rare cases Klarna or V12 may need to look at the application in more detail. You do not need a Subwoofer with these monitors, however, it is advised if you want an extra level of control over the bass response. Yes, the Yamaha HS7’s are ideal for medium to large-sized commercial or home-based studios and deliver enough power to comfortably mix in any environment. The speaker cabinet is beautifully made and designed, it's simplistic design allows it to be very stealth, and the material used to cover the exterior of the cabinet doesn't stain or scratch easily, and it's super easy to clean.

Accuracy Above All

Since the Yamaha HS7 has separate dedicated amps for the tweeter and woofer this active studio monitor is able to give you consistent, high-resolution sound with incredibly flat response. Low Resonance Design and Noise Reduction Technology

Then of course there is the sound, which is why we buy these things, My HS7's are fed through a Fluid Audio SRI-2 which I have reviewed separately. I have them sitting on some t-akustic Insulators to eliminate any boom from the desk unit they are on top of.

Features a simple and very attractive design. The design is unassuming and the build quality is great. Yamaha certainly has and the HS7 is the latest addition to the HS Series, slotting size-wise in between the HS8 and the HS5. This series of active monitors has been designed and priced specifically for home studios. A 150-watt active subwoofer designated the HS8S has also been added to the line-up, so we’re pleased to be testing that along with a pair of the HS7s. I was surprised the date on it was 2018 seeing how I bought it year and half later (at Guitar Center -- large musician retailer in US). Must not sell many of them at that location. Construction is very solid. Sturdy, nothing rattles or whatever even cranked. But that's to be expected I think. The Yamaha HS8S Subwoofer is ideal for those of you who desire the signature flat-frequency character of Yamaha’s nearfield reference monitors, yet would like to hear more bass than is provided by just the HS monitors alone. This could be the case with bass-driven genres like Electronic music for instance.
