About this deal

The digital reverb sounds great, very useable, but not an ambient type, more in a spring range but with just different feel. When I compared the reverbs with the spring one on my 2005 marshall mg15cdr I honestly prefered the digital one. But if you like the ambient stuff then there's always the efects loop. Finally, my favorite feature: the "Low-Power" mode switch. 5 Watts can be very loud so having the option to get this thing to play apartment levels with a simple push of a button is awesome.

Both channels share a passive three-band EQ, with BASS, MIDDLE and TREBLE controls. The EQ section also features Tone Shift, which when activated reconfigures the pre-amp mid frequencies making DSL ideal for contemporary metal tones, especially when combined with higher gain settings. The Dual Super Lead amps have long been a staple of the Marshall range, since launching in the '90s to great critical acclaim. Known for their ultra-versatile sound as well as their surprising proficiency with high-gain sounds, they eventually came to be hailed as a modern classic. Now Marshall have unveiled the latest generation of DSLs - offering everything you loved about the originals but with several tweaks aimed at the modern player! The DSL is now more versatile than ever, with new features including discrete master volume controls for each channel, and built-in reverb. Marshall's partnership with Softube® has led to the creation of award-winning plug-ins, as well as exceptional tone in Marshall's CODE digital amps. The same team is responsible for the development of the new emulated output feature, found in the DSL series. Both the headphone out, and line out on the DSL models boast incredibly accurate emulation of the famed 1960 cabinet.

For the DSL5CR Marshall have crammed that distinct DSL tone into a versatile and powerful 5 Watt combo amp. Featuring an all-valve signal path with two distinct channels (Classic and Ultra Gain), the DSL5CR is a powerhouse that's perfect for recording, rehearsing, and since you can disengage the onboard speaker and plug a 16 Ohm speaker cabinet into it, even live performances! Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered. Really just a great amp all around. It's nice to have an amp sound this good without blowing your ear drums out. It has a good range of tones, Marshalls have a tendency to sound muddy and bottom heavy but this amp really has plenty of clarity and high end. The high gain channel sounds great, an overdrive pedal really isn't necessary other than a boost. The clean channel takes pedals great but there is definitely a serious dip in volume between the clean and overdrive channels. Marshall DSL5CR, "Dual Super Lead" All-Valve 5-Watt Combo Amplifier for Guitar, with Built-in Reverb The DSL5 Combo is loaded with a 10” Celestion Ten-30 speaker chosen for its ability to deliver exceptional tone at lower volumes.

Marshall DSL5 Combo Amplifier with Reverb and Switchable Power

The DSL5CR is a 5W 1x10" valve combo with digital reverb; building on the tried-and-tested DSL formula, this compact combo delivers great valve sound at low levels but responds with analogue warmth when pushed! It's loaded with a single 10" Celestion Ten-30 speaker for a smooth, accurate response. You've got two channels at your disposal: classic gain and ultra gain, both of which do exactly what they say on the tin! The classic gain is warm but clear with two controls (gain and volume), and extremely responsive to adjustments, whereas the ultra gain allows you to tip into that full-pelt Marshall distortion that's so widely adored. Unlike the previous-generation DSL5C, this new one has reverb (thus the R), which is great if you don't feel like dealing with pedals and improves its portability, and it also has separate gain and master volume for the clean channel, making that channel genuinely useful. The high-gain channel goes from crunchy to metal. It's quite loud at 5 watts but you can switch it to 0.5 watts, which will let you turn the volume up to 5 or more without bothering other people in your household or building. Perhaps the best quality is with the power scaling, you can go from midnight in the apartment volume to hanging with a loud drummer at practice, particularly if you plug it into a larger cab. The ultra gain channel does exactly what it says, it's either full on saturated goodness or nothing at all. Around 7 it starts to produce that sweet saturation we all love: aggesive, extrordinary for palm mutes, it's like having a roaring JCM 800 in your room, but bellow 7 it chokes, it's undefined and to aggresive for blues, it wants you to crank it.

Some innovative tweaks to the EQ circuitry have given the new DSLs even greater tonal flexibility. The EQ section of the new DSLs can deliver exactly what your ears are looking for. You should get an instant answer on whether your application has been successful, though in some rare cases Klarna or V12 may need to look at the application in more detail. The Marshall DSL40CR is part of the DSL Series of amplifiers, all-valve heads and combos that deliver classic Marshall tone and build quality. These amplifiers all boast a Classic and Ultra Gain Channel, giving musicians the option of pristine cleans to aggressive overdrives and anything in-between. Each channel also has a dedicated Master Volume control, perfect for those explosive set-piece solo moments. All the models in the range also provide an emulated output for recording purposes and a power reduction feature. But as I've said, it's only close to perfection, because it doesn't do breakup, like at all, even when you crank up the master it's just more punchy. Sometimes the bass is overwhelming and to loose, the foot switch has a fx loop on/off and nothing for reverb which is absurd and the emulated output is bad (andertones have it in their video) NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. The DSL5CR features two foot switchable channels: CLASSIC GAIN and ULTRA GAIN. The CLASSIC GAIN channel can deliver sparkling clean sounds through to the more aggressive break-up of a Marshall JCM800 amplifier. The ULTRA GAIN channel provides even more distortion and break-up for players looking high gain tone from their amplifier. Whether it's bright, clean sounds you're after, creamy overdriven tones, or super-saturated distortion, the DSL5CR has got you covered. Each channel has individual Gain and Volume controls, and share the powerful 3-band EQ, allowing you to sculpt the perfect tone with ease. Not only that, but the fabulous Deep Switch control from previous DSL models is still present, and there's even a Low/High power switch for you to alter the amp's output (from 5 Watts to 2.5 Watts), giving you even more sonic possibilities.
